Collection pieces are ready-made designs you can buy today; semi-custom starts from any Luvari piece and changes the stone, metal, or details; full custom means a designer creates your ring from scratch around you — not a pick-a-diamond-and-setting configurator — refined through renders and revisions until you love it. Every path includes free, no-pressure expert help.
How does full custom design work?
It begins with your designer getting to know you — your style, your story, what you're really asking for — then we create a true from-scratch design and you react to photorealistic renders that come with a detailed price quote. We refine it together, revision by revision, and the process is finished only when you love the design.
Is this just picking a diamond and a setting?
No — that's a configurator, and a lot of jewelers call it "custom." Luvari full custom means a designer creates an original piece from scratch around you, then refines it through photorealistic renders and revisions until it's exactly right.
Can you make a ring from a photo or inspiration image?
Yes — bring photos, sketches, or a Pinterest board to a free consultation and our designers will work from your inspiration.
Can I use a diamond I already own or stones from a family piece?
Yes — in a custom or semi-custom project we can absolutely set a diamond you already own if it fits the design. Sentimental gold, platinum, and gemstones from an existing piece can also be redesigned into something new through our Reimagined Jewelry service.
What stones and metals can I choose for a custom engagement ring?
Natural or lab-grown diamonds, moissanite, or a gemstone, in the shape and size your design calls for. Custom engagement rings are handcrafted in precious metals — yellow, white, or rose gold in 10K, 14K, or 18K, or Platinum 950. A high percentage of the gold and platinum we use comes from recycled and reclaimed sources.
How do you help me choose my center stone?
We source the best candidate stones for your design from our network of stone providers, then walk through them with you — the merits of each stone, natural or lab-grown, its price, its value, and its impact on the overall cost of your piece. It's a conversation: you ask questions, we offer honest opinions and practical trade-offs — like choosing eye-clean grades for side stones to keep the price down, or going lab-grown to afford a larger or higher-grade center.

Do you offer financing on custom engagement rings?
Yes, subject to approval. Ask your designer about paying over time with Affirm or Shop Pay Installments. The price is the same either way; any interest or fees are set by the lender.
Pricing & Payment
How long does a full custom engagement ring take?
Once you approve the final design, we handcraft your ring in about 4–6 weeks. The design phase before that moves at your pace (renders, revisions and refinements until you love it), so the best first step is a free consultation.
Is shipping free? Where do you ship?
Every US order ships free and expedited, signature required. We also ship to Canada ($50 flat rate) and Australia ($65 flat rate); elsewhere, email orders@luvari.com and we'll see what we can arrange.
Timeline & Delivery
What if my ring doesn't fit?
Your first resizing is free within 45 days of shipment, and we pay shipping both ways. After that, our lifetime resizing program keeps the fit right: each resize is quoted up front, you send the ring in, and we ship it back free. Some designs can't be resized, such as many eternity styles; your designer will tell you, and we'll send a free ring sizer on request.
Can I return a custom engagement ring?
Custom jewelry is final sale, since each piece is handcrafted to your approved design. Eligible non-custom items may be returned or exchanged free within 45 days of the shipment date, and every custom piece is covered by our Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Is a custom ring covered by a warranty?
Every piece carries Luvari's Limited Lifetime Warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship — we repair or replace at no charge. Custom pieces are covered too. Not covered: normal wear and tear, stone loss from impact or accidents, discoloration from chemicals, third-party repairs or sizing, and lost or stolen items — though we're happy to help arrange repairs for those at a fair cost.
Do you offer cleaning after purchase?
Yes — complimentary professional cleaning and polishing for the life of your jewelry.
Does my ring come with documentation?
Yes. Every ring ships with a Luvari Certificate of Authenticity documenting its materials and craftsmanship. If the stone we source for your project has a grading certificate (for example GIA or IGI), that certificate is also included with your ring. We can source your stone, shop for stones with you, or set one you already own; very small accent stones (melee) aren't individually graded by any lab.
Can my custom engagement ring be engraved?
Yes — wherever a piece can accommodate it, inside engraving (dates, initials, or a short phrase) is free; it's a service we love to offer. Most bands 2mm and wider can be engraved; on some stone-set designs the message length or placement may be limited, and we can confirm for any piece.
