We offer a Complimentary Custom Design Service that makes it easy to create a one-of-a-kind engagement ring. Start with inspiration – whether it’s a sketch, a photo, or just a few adjectives – and our jewelry designers will work with you to design the perfect ring.
Through an exclusive virtual consultation, we listen to your ideas and provide guidance on metals, gemstones, and design features. We can even show you sketches or 3D renderings of the proposed design, so you’ll see exactly how your ring will look.
Once you’re thrilled with the design, our master goldsmiths will hand-craft it to your exact specifications, ensuring every detail is just right.

Gold (Yellow, White, or Rose) is classic and luxurious; it’s easy to resize and polish but is softer, so it may scratch over time (especially in 18K or higher purities).
Platinum is extremely durable and hypoallergenic – a top choice if you want a prestigious metal that requires minimal maintenance (it’s heavier on the finger and costlier, though).
Tungsten and Tantalum are best for scratch resistance and affordability; they’re ultra-durable (tungsten, for example, is almost impossible to scratch) but cannot be resized, so down the line our policy would replace it if your size changes.
Titanium and Cobalt are also good alternatives – lightweight (titanium) or a bit heavier (cobalt), very durable, and usually more budget-friendly. If you have metal allergies, platinum, titanium, or cobalt are safe bets as they’re hypoallergenic.

However, in recent years many grooms are also opting for modern styles – for instance, bands with a brushed matte finish or a mix of metals are very trendy. Ultimately, the “most popular” style is the one that fits your personal taste and lifestyle. No worries at all. We have a handy Ring Sizing Guide on our site (including a printable chart and tips), and we can mail you a free ring sizer upon request before you purchase. If you’re in a rush or buying as a surprise, you can estimate, and Luvari’s lifetime resizing means if the fit isn’t perfect, we will adjust your ring at no charge. Generally, a men’s ring should fit snugly but slide over your knuckle with a little effort and not fall off when your hand is waved. Our experts can assist you virtually or in-store to get the sizing just right. And even after the wedding, if your finger size changes (it happens!), we’ve got you covered for life.
Absolutely – men’s bands can definitely feature diamonds or colored gemstones, and it’s becoming quite popular. Many grooms choose to add a small diamond or a row of diamonds for a bit of sparkle. For instance, a channel-set row of black diamonds can give a bold, masculine look, while a few white diamonds inset into a matte band offer subtle elegance. Other gemstones like sapphires or emeralds can be used for a personal touch (perhaps your birthstone or a stone of special meaning).

Our custom design process is straightforward and collaborative. First, you reach out to us (through the “Start Your Custom Design” button above or by contacting us) and share any ideas you have – this could be images, sketches, or a description of what you envision. We’ll schedule a consultation (either in-person or virtual via video call) where our designer listens to your concept and provides input.
After the meeting, our team creates sketches or digital 3D models of your ring. You’ll get to review the design and request any changes. We continue refining until you’re 100% happy. Once you approve, we manufacture the ring, which typically takes a few weeks (commonly 3-6 weeks depending on complexity and sourcing of materials). Throughout this, we keep you updated. The great thing is there’s no additional design fee – you just pay for the materials/labor of making the ring, similar to buying a ready-made one (we’ll quote you before proceeding).
So, from initial consultation to finished ring, plan on roughly a month or so. If you have a specific deadline (e.g. a wedding date soon), let us know and we’ll do our best to expedite.
